We had been doing lots of research on FS products, and wondered whether the 18 channels CWDM mux could fit our transmission less than 2km. We contacted the AM. The guy first asked our networking environment and optical loss requirement. Then he assured us that the mux could fit our demands, and recommended the 40km 10G CWDM modules and related fiber optic attenuators. Thus, our RX power of the transceiver can be limited in the range of -8~-13dbm.
We quickly got our items from UPS. They were protected in solid packages. Just installed the ears on the two sides of the mux, we could easily put it on our network rack. We have run it for a time, no bad or missed connections.
