So far this works as advertised. Quick shipment and very helpful and friendly staff.

We had the opportunity to try out the FS Box. It is a very solid product and easy to use. The corresponding applications work well and the SFP ports are easy to read and rewrite.
Over all cool stuff.

Cool little box to reprogram on the fly. As we sometimes have to go abroad with jobs we are always worried we never have enough compatible SFPs for each device, having this box means we can reprogram a CISCO SFP to Intel SFP that we can take out of the large 48 port switch. Criticisms are that not all of the brands are available without applying to FS Pro (Arista for one) - meaning you do need to wait for the approval to go through.

Works great. We are able to buy SFPs and SFP+s ahead of time without knowing what switches they are going to be used in. We can also change the Branding on the FS SFPs if we need to change the switches.

We also do not need to wait for the SPFs to be programmed by FS, reducing lead time.

The FS BOX v4 is a welcome addition to our organization. The device supports two critical roles, first it supports the ability to troubleshoot cables and optics, but even more importantly, it has allowed us to reduce the number of parts we keep in stock for projects but allowing us to order cables and optics from a single vendor them program them for the required application. Although advertised to work only on FS supplied optics and cables, we have found it to work well on other cables in our outgoing inventory, this help remove warning messages from equipment that prefers their own manufacturers optics and DAC cables; your millage may vary of course when it comes to non-FS optics and cables. We are looking forward to its continued use in streamlining stocked components.

Amazing tool ! Not only programming but, also possibility to perform some field test and troubleshooting. Network Engineers have a new gear in their EDC :)
