FS Launches D6000 Series: 400G ZR/ZR+ Solution for High-capacity DWDM Metro and Edge Networks

New Castle, Delaware – May 30, 2025 – FS, a leading provider of ICT solutions, has announced the launch of the D6000 Series, a 400G modular optical transmission platform. The new launch includes four products: a 1U x 19” AC/DC chassis, along with the D6000 modular family of transponders and muxponders. Suitable for flexible DWDM metro and edge networks.

As network demands rise, the need for solutions with unified management, open architectures, and streamlined standards becomes increasingly critical. These features enhance flexibility, scalability, and operational efficiency. In response, FS has independently developed the D6000 Series to deliver an easy-to-deploy, easy-to-maintain, and highly reliable DCI solution.

FS D6000 Series: An Open, Flexible OpenZR+ Solution

The D6000 Series is a 400G modular optical transport platform designed for high capacity and low power consumption, offering a compact 1U chassis (D6000-CH1U) with four slots to host D6000 transponders and muxponders. It supports up to four pluggable D6000 traffic modules, with redundant 1+1 power supplies and 3+1 fans, both hot swappable for backup and stability. The system delivers a maximum capacity of 6.4T and supports services like 400GE.

Optimized for flexible DWDM metro and edge networks. Supporting IP over DWDM with OpenZR+ and ZR/ZR+ solutions for seamless integration of IP and optical layers. The D6000 Series ensures easy deployment, operation, and maintenance, featuring intuitive AmpCon-T and WebGUI management.

High-Capacity 1U Transport Platform

Provides up to 6.4T capacity in a 1U chassis to optimize DWDM networks.

Supports QSFP-DD or QSFP28 interfaces for flexible connectivity.

Line rate up to 400G for high-speed transmission.

Currently, the FS D6000 Series has launched a 1U AC/DC chassis, a muxponder(4ME4C), and a transponder(4T4E4C), supporting 400GE services. Looking ahead, FS plans to develop additional service cards in the second quarter of 2025 to expand the series. Future service support will include 1GE, 10GE, 25GE, 40GE, 100GE, and 400GE, as well as 8G, 16G, and 32G FC, ensuring the continuous evolution of the D6000 Series to meet the growing demands of network operators.
