Can i use the ap and connect a ethernet cable to my pc without having an ethernet cable connected to main router and the ap, will it give good speed?
Par M***o le 12/01/2022
Regardless of AP or router mode, the base unit needs to be connected via Ethernet to the base unit of the service source and it will be as good as the receiving mesh point.

Does it matter how many 3 or 1 pieces you have for more signal boosting? Is the signal boost the same for 1, 2 or 3 pieces?
Par S***r le 10/01/2022
The number of nodes in the network will directly affect the coverage. In an ideal environment, the coverage radius of an access point is 30m, and the specific number of access points needs to be selected according to the specific coverage area. For example, you need about 2 access points to cover 1600 square feet. As the coverage area increases, the number of access points should be increased accordingly to ensure the coverage and connection of the network.

How to manage this access point? Does it only support AC management?
Par B***t le 04/01/2022
The telnet, SSH, and web functions of the AP device itself can manage the AP. If there are multiple access points or you want to achieve more powerful functions and better results, you can use the AC device (AC-224AP) and integration AC-enabled gateway devices (SG-3110, SG-5105, SG-5110) centrally manage access points.

What is the difference between Wifi 5 and wifi 6? Is there a big difference in the effect of using it?
Par D***n le 28/12/2021
WIEI6 has 4 times the capacity of Wi-Fi 5, reduces power consumption by 30%, and is nearly 3 times faster. My home network is upgraded from wifi 5 to wifi 6. This ap is compatible with wifi 5. If you are looking for a better wireless network experience, I suggest you use wifi 6 wireless access point.

I saw on the homepage of the website that you can provide free technical support. Can this wireless access point provide remote experience?
Par M***h le 25/12/2021
This product supports remote experience. Our remote testing service allows users to deploy and connect to products running in our lab, access these products remotely to operate them.

I see this is meant to be a ceiling mount. How effective is it as a wall mount?
Par S***a le 22/12/2021
This access point is also suitable for wall mounting, this is how I use it. Works well.

Could 1 cover 25sqft?
Par W***e le 19/12/2021
Yes, The AP can cover much more than 25sqft. It has a reference coverage radius of 30M, but I feel it can cover much wider. Depending on the walls, electric field, it can cover the whole house.
Par L***y le 19/12/2021
Could we control the access point to add a business log in without a controller ?
Par A***y le 17/12/2021
I'm not sure what you mean by commercial login. I believe they can support radius in standalone mode. In the absence of a controller, that AP can be used on its own and you can just manage it through the web.

I am replacing my older aps and trying to use my existing poe injectors on this ap. not getting power. is specific type req’d?
Par J***s le 11/12/2021
The PoE for this AP takes DC 48V/0.6A. Some cheaper POE cables are only rates for 1 amp (vs 2.5 required). So make sure you have the right type and the right transformer.
