Will it work with the SFP BiDi optical transceiver module?

Sure, it should be noted that the wavelengths of the modules at both ends are paired. SFP BiDi modules utilise a single optical fibre to realise bidirectional data transmission by separating the uplink and downlink signals with two different wavelengths. Typically, commercial SFP BiDi modules adopt two standard wavelength pairs: one end uses a transmitting wavelength of 1310nm and a receiving wavelength of 1550nm, while the counterpart end must be configured with a transmitting wavelength of 1550nm and a receiving wavelength of 1310nm. If the wavelength pairing is mismatched (e.g., both ends use the same transmitting wavelength), the modules will fail to receive the opposite-end signals, resulting in link disconnection or communication interruption.

Can a 0.9mm cable be customised with OFNR (Riser-rated) or OFNP (Plenum-rated) jacket?

Customized PVC cable jacket with 0.9mm cable diametre is not flame rating. A 0.9mm cable diametre represents an ultra-compact design, which severely restricts the thickness of the cable jacket that can be applied. And a 0.9mm cable diametre cannot accommodate a jacket of sufficient thickness to meet OFNR/OFNP certification standards. Even if attempts are made to use OFNR/OFNP-grade materials for the jacket, the extremely thin jacket layer will fail to pass the mandatory flame spread and smoke density tests required for OFNR/OFNP qualification. For applications requiring flame-retardant ratings, we recommend larger cable diametres such as 1.6mm or 2.0mm.

The life of this fibre optic cable is usually determined by a number of factors, including the quality of the material, the conditions of installation and maintenance, the environment of use, and so on. In general, under normal conditions of use and maintenance, the design life of this fibre itself can be as long as several decades.
