Will there be any problem, if I have a 10km LR QSFP and the other end has just a 2 km version? Will It work properly or not?

These two modules 40G LR4L and 40GB LR4 can be interconnected, but the actual transmission distance is determined according to 40G LR4L ( the theoretical transmission distance after interconnection is 2km) on their console: Ethernet17/2 receive power is -30.00dBm, which is at or below the alarm threshold of -12.50dBm.
