The 40CH Mux Demux is a high-density, low loss, and suitable for long-haul transmission passive DWDM device based on AAWG (Flat-top). This unit can be used as either a multiplexer or de-multiplexer (mux/demux). In accordance with the ITU-T, it maximizes the capacity of the C-band range.
In conjunction with the FS transponders and amplifiers, etc., this Mux Demux supports a wide range of architectures from simple point-to-point to amplified ring configurations.

I was deploying a DWDM network and needed a few rack mount 40ch muxes. I found there are two types of 40ch muxes in FS. One is with flat top aawg technology and the other is with gaussian aawg technology. I had no idea about what are their differences and which type to choose. I consulted their account manager, they gave me a detailed explanation of these two types and provided me some useful suggestions based on my network diagram. Their service is awesome!
