4/8/9 Channels CWDM Mux Demux, Single Fibre, Side-A, Optional Connectors and Housing


CWDM technology provides the flexibility to increase capacity of existing fibre infrastructure by enabling multiple channels/wavelengths over the same fibre cabling. Each channel carries data independently from each other, allowing network designers to transport different data rates. FMU series CWDM Mux Demux covers up to 18 CWDM channels from 1270nm to 1610nm in 20nm increments as defined by ITU-T G.694.2. It's protocol and rate transparent supporting such applications as 1G/10G Ethernet, SDH/SONET and 8/4/2/1G Fibre Channel across the same fibre link.
Main advantages are its passive nature – no power supply or cooling necessary, and robustness – no special microclimate requirements, and low insertion loss - extend maximum reach of CWDM technology. A variety of wavelength combinations, port configurations and special port options can be supported, different packaging type can be customised.

Wavelengths and Insetion Loss

The ITU-T G.694.2 specifies CWDM uses up to 18 wavelengths from 1270nm to 1610nm with 20nm channel spacing. But For G.652 and G.694.2 optical fiber, 1390nm and 1410nm wavelengths should be avoided due to the higher attenuation about 2dB.

Dual/Single Fiber Bi-directional Transmission

Dual fiber, the same wavelength is used for both the transmit and receive directions.
Single fiber, "Two-way traffic" is achieved on one single fiber by using one wavelength in the transmit direction and another in the receive direction.

    Does single-fiber bidirectional WDM network support to use with BIDI transceivers? By Barney on 08/05/2018

    A:

    Usually, BIDI transceivers cannot be used with single-fiber bidirectional MUX-DEMUX together directly unless the single-fiber MUX/DEMUX has Expansion Port or converted into WDM transceivers that have corresponding wavelengths by OEO to transport business. By FS on 08/05/2018

    When CWDM MUX A has five channels with EXP port, you can connect MUX B via express port. These wavelengths are other 13 wavelengths. In the same way to DWDM MUX DEMUX. By FS on 17/04/2018

    Yes. Fiber diameter ( 2.0mm, 0.9mm, 3.0mm ), pigtail length ( 0.25~2m, no extra charge ), with/without connectors, and ABS size (141*115*18mm, 120*80*18mm, 100*80*10mm) need to be considered. By FS on 28/09/2017
