CWDM/DWDM OADM is a passive optical multiplexer/demultiplexer designed to add and drop selected channels to an existing backbone ring. Featuring a simple pluggable interface, it offers a more scalable and higher-density solution to add capability to existing and new networks. Recommendation 1: CWDM OADM in Hybrid CWDM/DWDM Network

CWDM/DWDM hybrid is a powerful and cost-effective solution to upgrade the existing passive CWDM network, without the need to substitute installed components. CWDM OADM helps add or drop selected channels to increase network reliability and agility.

Recommendation 2: Add Access Points Anywhere in a DWDM Network

An east or west DWDM OADM can be added on a DWDM network to add or drop any selected wavelengths, letting the rest of the wavelengths bypass to the destination. Integrating DWDM network with OADMs increases network flexibility in point to point, linear, ring, star and mesh topologies.
