DownloadDesigned a scalable DCI solution using the FS D7000 Series to enable seamless 100G interconnection across three sites.
D7000 Series OPB2 board ensures automatic failover, guaranteeing uninterrupted connectivity with robust path protection.
Plug-and-play deployment with centralized management via AmpCon-T for real-time network monitoring.
Supports up to 16 * 400G capacity, offering long-term scalability for future bandwidth demands.
The solution supports multi-type service access, including 10G/100G/400GE, OTU2/4, 8-32G FC, and STM-64.
Leveraged FS's global supply chain to ensure timely delivery, meeting the client's tight project deadlines.
The client, headquartered in the United States, specializes in offering a broad range of dedicated and VPS solutions, including Linux and Windows servers, as well as customized load balancing and cloud hosting services. With a growing client base, they are expanding their operations and preparing to build a new data center. To support their next growth phase, they are seeking DWDM solutions to enhance network efficiency and scalability.
The client faced several challenges in deploying their DCI solution. The lack of specialized teams makes it difficult to design and implement. The solution needed to be scalable, starting with six 100G channels and expanding to up to 16 * 100G or 16 * 400G in the future. Compatibility with both SR4 and LR4 optics was also essential to support flexible interconnections between sites.
In addition, a redundant design between the three sites was critical to ensure uninterrupted service. Given the urgency of the project, the client needed a cost-effective solution that could meet performance, scalability and redundancy requirements while delivering on time.
According to the client's requirements, FS technical team provided several solutions to choose from to help reduce the program cost, and finally chose the D7000 series solution. By utilizing the D7000 muxponder (4MC4), 400G coherent optical modules, and 16CH MUX, the solution enabled interconnection of multiple 100G services across three sites, meeting the 16CH x 400G transmission capacity requirements. The solution also supports forwarding of DWDM services to 100G LR4/SR4 interfaces for increased flexibility and compatibility.
The D7000 Series 1+1 Optical Protection (OPB2) ensures real-time failover and end-to-end service protection. In the event of a failure between links A and B, or A and C, it allows seamless access to remote sites via links B or C, maximizing service path protection.
FS's efficient global supply chain allows for rapid delivery of necessary components, ensuring that tight customer deadlines are met without compromising quality.
The FS D7000 solution successfully interconnected three of the client's sites with future expansion to 16CH * 400G. The D7000 Series OLP boards (OPB2) provide automatic failover to ensure robust path protection, and FS rapid delivery and seamless deployment enabled the project to meet the customer's October 1 deadline, ensuring a smooth implementation with significant cost savings.
This tailored solution met the client’s immediate needs and laid the foundation for future growth, reaffirming FS commitment to high-performance, customer-centric optical networking solutions.
