Expanded the storage capacity of the data center, paving the way for future business growth and scalability.
Implement redundant 40G connection between NAS and switches, enhancing network speed and efficiency.
Up to 144 LC fibers in 1U space are enabled by FS FHD® wiring scheme, establishing a reliable and efficient cabling environment.
Rack-Mount width complies with the 19'' EIA standard, ensuring compatibility with standardized products for easy integration and maintenance of equipment.
The client is a renowned media company specializing in visual effects and production and is also a long-term partner of FS. Building a reliable and stable network is crucial to their business as they strive to provide high-quality visual services. Collaborating with famous directors and film companies requires seamless communication and uninterrupted workflow. Therefore, they aim to expand the storage capacity in the data center, with the primary objective of achieving network migration from 10G to 40G.
NAS deployment involves complexity, requiring skilled professionals to design and maintain due to the various components and technologies involved, including storage devices, networking equipment, and interconnection between devices.
The demand for cabinet installations brought about by business expansion cannot be met by standard fiber cables, requiring a higher density deployment of MTP® fiber cables. As a result, ensuring correct polarity has become a challenge.
The company employs MTP® trunk cables and plug-and-play FHD® cassettes and fiber panels with a modular design for a robust, secure, and easily managed network.
Within the rack, direct connections between NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices are established using the female MTP®-12 Type B trunk cables. Simultaneously, 40G links can also be connected to network switches via the same MTP®-12 Type B trunk cables. These switches are connected to the 1U FHD® fiber enclosure, establishing a clear and comprehensive cabling system. Within the patch bay, these 40G links are then split into four 10G links using MTP®-LC fiber cassettes. Upgrading the network from 10G to 40G can be easily achieved through MTP®-LC fiber cassettes, seamlessly integrating with the existing infrastructure.
Utilize MTP®-LC Type A fiber cassettes, MTP®-12 Type A trunk cables, and MTP®-LC Type AF fiber cassettes for 40G link connections. This configuration ensures correct polarity in cabling. Simultaneously, the company can benefit from professional polarity recommendations, enabling high-performance, fast, error-free installations, and reliable operational stability. The best way to maintain correct polarity in the cabling system is to follow standard procedures and adhere to them throughout the entire installation process.
Our partners are facing compatibility challenges between network upgrades and existing infrastructure. To address this issue, the company can conduct test certificate validations and sample testing, while also enjoying cabling solution demonstrations by a professional technical team. Through these measures, our partners can verify the compatibility of the FHD® cabling solution with their existing network infrastructure, instilling confidence in its effectiveness to meet their specific requirements.
The company's 40G expanded storage can support future visual production needs, handling large high-definition videos, audio files, images, and other high-capacity media files. Provide technical support for future business development. This FHD® modular cabling solution helps our partners expand their network with fast installation. It also simplifies cabling and saves space in the data center without sacrificing manageability or performance.
