Versatile Connectivity
The FS S5850 Series switches provide flexible port configurations to cater to diverse networking needs:
16-Port Switch Models: Offering a mix of 1G RJ45, 10G SFP+, and 25G SFP28 ports, with uplinks supporting 40G for efficient edge or small aggregation deployments (The S5850-16T16BS2Q model provides these supported features.)
24-Port Switch Models: Feature 10G or 25G ports combined with high-speed uplinks (40G/100G), ensuring robust performance for edge or mid-level aggregation networks.
48-Port Switch Models: These high-density options feature 10G or 25G ports and versatile uplinks (40G/100G), designed to conserve valuable rack space and simplify the migration to 40/100Gbps in the network core, making them ideal for large-scale edge, aggregation, or core network applications.
With support for advanced port speeds and uplink scalability, the S5850 Series enables seamless integration into enterprise and data center networks.
High-Reliability Redundant Design
The S5850 series switches boast a high-reliability redundant design, featuring hot-swappable power supplies and redundant fans to ensure stable operation under high loads. This provides continuous reliability for enterprise networks, with support for MLAG. All ports can connect using LAG or LACP protocols without relying on proprietary protocols, ensuring network efficiency and stability. The switches are compatible with various protocols, including LACP, VRRP, Smart Link, BFD, and ERPS. Additionally, Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP) effectively prevent network loops, while protection mechanisms like BPDU Guard and Root Guard bolster network security.

Comprehensive Protocol Support
The S5850 series switches provide robust protocol support, including NVGRE, GENEVE, and DCBX, making them particularly well-suited for virtualization environments and cloud computing applications. Additionally, they are compatible with GRE tunnels, meeting the requirements of complex network architectures. Some switches, such as the S5850-48T4Q, S5850-48T4Q-PE, and S5850-24B4C, support more advanced PFC and ECN protocols, delivering powerful protocol support for data centers.
The S5850 series switches also deliver comprehensive Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities, including 13 hardware queues per port, support for WRED, Tail Drop, Strict Priority and WDRR scheduling (including mixed scheduling), and traffic classification based on COS/DSCP.
Additionally, by purchasing the LIC-FIX-MA license, users can unlock more advanced features, including MPLS, LDP, MPLS-L2VPN, MPLS-L3VPN, VXLAN-BGP-EVPN, and IPFIX, further enhancing the network's scalability and flexibility to meet growing network demands.
Easy Network Maintenance
The S5850 series switches offer multiple management options for easy administration. They support CLI-based command line management for local control via the console port. Remote management can be conducted through a web UI, Telnet, and SSH, using connections via a 10/100/1000Mbps management or service port.
The switches also support SNMP v1, v2, and v3, allowing integration with monitoring tools like Zabbix. Additionally, they support the RPC-API for SDN, facilitating integration with SDN controllers to enhance network automation management capabilities.

Enhanced Network Security
Multiple security features are also supported by the FS S5850 series enterprise switches to limit access to the network and decrease outside threats, including:
Centralized 802.1x authentication feature to the network access, including flexible authentication, 802.1X monitor mode, and RADIUS change of authorization.
Support subscriber-class/switch-class/network-class security control.
TACACS+ and RADIUS authentication to facilitate centralized control of the switch and restrict unauthorized users from altering the configuration.
Access Control Lists (ACLs) for IPv6 and IPv4 security can filter IPv4/IPv6/Non-IP packet respectively. The ACLs can apply to physical ports/VLAN/port group/VLAN group.
The members of port group or VLAN group share a set of ACLs and save TCAM resources.
ARP inspection and IP source guard features prevent networks from malicious ARP attacks.

Choose the Right FS S5850 Series Switch for Your Network
The FS S5850 series edge and aggregation models are a range of compact 1RU 1/10G wire speed, low latency and scalable switches. They also further support 25G/40G/100G uplinks for flexible linkage to other switches or devices over different media. The details of the S5850 enterprise switches are listed as following:

"FS Switches are better that even cisco,....we have supplied them somewhere they even use it in core productions network and its almost 3 years without any problem, with bought Datacenter switch 3 years ago and until today there is no complaint or requirement for support. For me, I am very very confident with FS Products, especially for those Datacenter switches. I can recommend 1000% to you."

"The switch is also very power efficient and reasonably quiet compared with other switches I’ve used. So far I am impressed and think the switch offers much better value than the Cisco equivalents. I look forward to working more with it and getting the project to the end-user testing stage."
