Q2: What are the benefits that FS 400G transceivers can offer?
A2: FS 400G transceivers help cloud operators, service providers, and enterprises to achieve higher bandwidth at lower cost and power comsumption. Key benefits of FS 400G transceivers include:
FS 400G transceivers are available in OSFP, QSFP112 and QSFP-DD form factors, meeting your diverse needs for ramping up to 400G transmission.
SiPh-based technology is used on 400G OSFP DR4-Si, 400G QSFP-DD DR4-Si, and 400G QSFP-DD FR-Si transceivers for lower power consumption, cost and higher density.
Compliant with OSFP MSA, QSFP112 MSA and QSFP-DD MSA , and tested in targeted switches for superior performance, quality, and reliability.
Qualified through comprehensive testing to ensure low bit error rate (BER), offering efficient data transmission and reliability.
Compatible with mainstream brands such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Dell, NVIDIA, etc.
Simplify your network by reducing the number of optical fiber links, connectors, and patch panels by a factor of four.
Q3: What are the application scenarios of FS 400G transceivers?
A3: 400G QSFP-DD transceiver modules are the backbone of high-performance 400G networks. FS 400G transceivers can be used in various scenarios. Generally speaking, it depends on the connection distance you want to cover. For example, for short-reach connections between ToR switches and servers, use 400G DAC and AOC cables. For 2km to 10km data center interconnections, QSFP-DD FR4 or LR4 modules are better choices for high quality and cost-effectiveness.
Q4: Are FS 400G transceivers compatible with NVIDIA brands?
A4: Many of our 400G transceiver modules are compatible with devices from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Dell, NVIDIA, and others. You can always request a compatibility test before purchase to ensure that our transceivers are compatible with your devices. If you're deploying a larger network or upgrading your current data center architecture, these compatible transceiver modules can be especially useful, as they can be immediately installed without compatibility issues and will integrate seamlessly into your data center infrastructure.
Q5: Can I plug FS OSFP modules into a 400G QSFP-DD port, or FS QSFP-DD modules into an OSFP port?
A5: No, OSFP modules and QSFP-DD modules do not share the same physical size, and their gold finger interfaces differ, making them incompatible.
Q6: Can FS 100G QSFP module be plugged into a 400G QSFP-DD port?
A6: Yes, a 100G QSFP module can be inserted into a QSFP-DD port because QSFP-DD is backward compatible with QSFP, QSFP+, QSFP28, and QSFP 56 modules. When using a QSFP module in a 400G QSFP-DD port, the port must be configured for the data speed of 100G.
Q7: How can you help me choose the most suitable module?
A7: FS offers 24/7 technical assistance. If you have any questions about our transceiver modules, such as how to select the right 400G optical transceiver for your switches, how to choose between different form factors, what to do when typical technical glitches occur, or how to place an order, don't hesitate to contact our tech support.
Q8: Can I return the product or get a refund?
A8: Yes, FS wants you to be thrilled with our 400G transceiver modules. However, if you need to return an item or request a refund, we're here to help. For all 400G transceiver modules, DAC/AOC cables, and breakout cables, you have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it, which means the request must be submitted within the return/exchange window. Refunds will be processed after FS receives and inspects the returned items.
Q9: How long is the warranty period for FS 400G transceivers?
A9: We offer a five-year warranty for 400G transceivers, DAC/AOC cables, and breakout cables. This warranty covers defects arising from normal use and excludes issues caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, electrical power problems, improper use according to product instructions, natural events, incorrect installation, or repairs by unauthorized parties. For more details, please refer to the FS products warranty.
