DWDM MUX/DEMUX Insertion Loss Test

FS 40-CH DWDM MUX/DEMUX has a typical insertion loss of 3.0 dB. This video shows the insertion loss test of our 40-CH DWDM MUX/DEMUX with an optical power metre, one LC-LC simplex fibre patch cable, one LC-SC simplex fibre patch cable and one LC-LC fibre optic adapter.

In this video we use Channel 25 and Channel 60 of the DWDM MUX as examples. Firstly, we measure out the power from the transceiver after experiencing the Channel 25 port and other components, and set this power as the reference value. Then, we only move the Channel 25 out and measured the power from the same transceiver. The difference value is the insertion loss of Channel 25 port. We also use the same method to test the insertion loss of the Channel 60 port.
