Can the SC ends be split apart easily? I have a use case where the ends are not combined in one connector.

Yes, the duplex SC connectors can be split apart easily. You do not need any tool for sure. The plastic clip can be disassembled, so the two SC connectors can be separated for your use case. by B***k on 04/30/2021
