We have some new Dell servers with Mellanox ConnectX-5 25G network adapters, and we would like to connect them to some Arista switches with 25G ports. Could you please confirm if the Generic Compatible 25GBASE-SR would work on both of those devices? If so, then we would probably just order the generic SFP28 rather than specific branded transceivers, which would be easier to install. Thank you!

This may not work. We need to choose the corresponding compatible branded module for full compatibility. Therefore, recommends 71007 for Mellanox ConnectX, and 70299 for Arista switches. If you still only want generic compatible modules, you can buy a FS BOX. It supports configuring Mellanox and Arista compatibility codes.. by H***r on 11/11/2021
