Hi - I need to connect Arista 100GB switch (7060CX2-32S) with server side Broadcom BCM57414 NetXtreme-E 10Gb/25Gb Ethernet. Do I need to have different compatibility on each end for the breakout cable? ie...do I need the 100Gb side to be Arista compatible and the 25Gb breakouts on the other side to Broadcom compatible so this will work?

Hi Geoff, thanks for your question. Yeah, you are right. We can confirm that you need Arista compatible for the 100Gb side and Broadcom compatible for the 25Gb breakouts since different devices require different compatibilities. Here we'd like to recommend item #49617 with Dual Compatibility Solutions for you. You may fill in the specific models of your two devices when ordering. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know. by FS.com on 02/17/2022

The advice is incorrect. Arista accepts any third-party brand DAC cable. They do however require the "Arista" encoding for for individual, non-DAC dtransceivers. by C***e
